Speciality Chemical Treatments for Spas

All spas will require the water to be regularly monitored and treated using spa chemicals to maintain water quality. As well as spa water balance products and spa disinfectants etc, spas will also require additional special treatments as and when needed. These spa speciality chemical treatments will keep your spa in the best possible condition.

Sunspot Spa Speciality Treatments

Like all the Sunspot products, speciality treatments are designed to be compatible within your spa water and help you create and maintain the ideal bathing conditions.

spa water balance

Sunspot Spa Surface Cleaner
- Is used to remove grease and other deposits at waterline level and should be applied weekly. Spa Surface Cleaner should also be used to clean all the spas internal surfaces when it is emptied before filling.

Sunspot Spa Cartridge Cleaner - Regular cleansing of cartridge filter elements using Spa Cartridge Cleaner is necessary every 2-4 weeks to remove contaminated or entrapped debris. Having a spare cartridge being cleaned while the other is in Spa use is helpful.

Sunspot Spa Sparkle - For really polished and sparkling spa water use Spa Sparkle, which will assist the filter in the removal of small particles.

Sunspot Spa No Foam - A build-up of unsightly foam on the water surface can easily be removed by additions of Spa No Foam. Used weekly it will prevent the foam appearing in the first place.

Sunspot Spa No Scale - In hard water areas deposits can be a problem and can easily be prevented by the use of Spa No Scale.

Scentsations Fragrances For that touch of luxury a comprehensive fragrance range called 'SCENTSATIONS' can enhance bather experiences - try all eight fragrances by purchasing the Mini-Multi Pack, which contains 8 x 30ml bottle size before choosing your preferred fragrance that can then be obtained in the larger 240ml bottles.

Testing

It is amazing today what can be tested but it is vital that we take advantage and regularly measure pH, chlorine/bromine and total alkalinity. Easy to use 'test strips' for daily use cover all the aforementioned tests and this backed up by periodic full water testing (through your Sunspot dealer) is an excellent mix. 'Pooltesters' are also a highly accurate and easy to use alternative, but generally measure only the two most important tests of chlorine/bromine and pH. Always test the Spa water with the air blowers switched off as air bubbles impact pH upwards and can suppress total alkalinity test results. Be sure to change reagents regularly and store them in a dry place when not in use.
