About us

Chem/Quip Pools of Bournemouth, Dorset, provide swimming pool chemicals, pool equipment and pool services for swimming pools, including above ground pools, spas and saunas. We stock the SUNSPOT and BLUE HORIZONS range of pool and spa chemicals from Biolab and CPC, and also products from Aquamat, Astral UK, Certikin International, Doughboy, Electro Engineering, Heatstar, Plastica, Intex, Bestway, SCP, Calorex and Seimens (Stranco).

Our business is ideally situated within 5.5 km of both Bournemouth and Poole town centres. We operate a very successful retail and trade showroom and sales area together with our separate warehouse facilities where a full range of chemicals and pool equipment is available for immediate collection. Our warehouse incorporates our packing and distribution facilities from where we dispatch chemicals and equipment nationwide by dedicated carriers and locally by our own vehicles.

We also provide installation and pool services for domestic and private pools; spas; saunas; leisure and fitness centre pools, hotel swimming pools, private and public schools' pools and swimming pools owned by county councils and health authorities. Our swimming pool services are provided by Chem Quip Pools' swimming pool service and installation division, which can deal with anything from minor pool repairs or routine servicing of pools and pool equipment to major refurbishment of commercial pools.

Our History

Chem/Quip Pools, Dorset, was established in 1978 by its present owners to supply swimming pool equipment and chemicals to residential pool owners, leisure and fitness centres, hotels, private and public schools, county councils and health authorities.

When the company moved its operation to its present location it started to develop alongside its established business what is now a successful showroom and sales centre along with a separate warehouse facility comprehensively stocked to supply the private and public sector with chemicals and equipment from most leading manufacturers.

A further step in the company's development was the introduction of a service/installation division using its own Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers qualified personnel to deal with anything from minor repairs or routine servicing to major refurbishment of both domestic and commercial pools.

The latest development is the Company's entry into the world of internet selling with the 2007 launch of its "on-line" shopping facility.

From 2007 the retail sales division will continue to offer the same first class personal service that has always existed within Chem-Quip Pools, while in addition offering on-line sales through our website.

Chem Quip Pools has recently been granted Affiliated Membership of The Institute of Sports and Recreational Management.
The Institute is widely accepted as the premier organisation for its operating and training standards within the Swimming Pool industry.

Our Location

Chem/Quip Pools is situated just off the A348 on the West Howe Industrial Estate approximately 5.5 km North West of Bournemouth town centre and 5.5 km North East of Poole town centre.
There is ample parking within the West Howe Industrial Estate as well as pick-up and loading bays adjacent to the showroom & warehouse.
